How to Judge a New Township Before You Buy a Plot

A new township can be a smart long-term choice, but it can also stay half-built for years. Visit in person and check what already exists, not only what is planned.

Look at what is real today

• Are roads paved and open, or only drawn on the master plan?
• Are gas, electricity, water and drainage connected, or promised?
• How many plots or flats already have families living in them?

Check the papers

• Who owns the land, and does the seller have the right to sell it?
• Is the layout approved by the relevant authority?
• Are the plot boundaries and road access marked on the ground?

Think about daily life

• Travel time to work, school and a hospital at rush hour
• Whether shops and public transport exist nearby

Buy where you can see progress, not where you are only asked to imagine it.
